The hybrid rooftop solar plant built at our Beylikova Biogas Power Plant in Eskişehir entered operation on 21 October 2023, following acceptance by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. The solar plant has an installed capacity of 0.70 MWm.
Two sources, one connection
Under the hybrid model, the solar panels use the biogas plant's existing licence and grid connection. The plant's installed capacity stays the same, but the solar output increases the total energy it feeds into the grid.
The rooftop plant is expected to generate around 1,157 MWh a year, all of which is supplied to the grid. It is our first hybrid investment and a model for combining different renewable sources at our existing sites.
