Elestaş Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. was founded in Istanbul in 2003 to operate in the energy market. In its first years the company set out to meet its shareholders' own electricity needs; it soon expanded its generation capacity and began supplying surplus energy to the market.
Giving priority to environmentally friendly and renewable sources, Elestaş Elektrik has made it a principle to meet the group's energy needs from sources that do not pollute. On this basis the company operates in four distinct areas:
- Electricity generation
- Electricity sales and trading
- Construction and operation of power plants
- Organic fertiliser production and sales
Growth centred on sustainability
With our sustainability-driven approach, we aim to strengthen source diversity by increasing the share of renewables in our generation portfolio. We work without pause to put Türkiye's domestic and renewable energy potential to the most efficient use for the benefit of the economy.
Our investment areas
Our investment areas cover solar, wind, hydroelectric and biogas energy. Our portfolio currently comprises 9 hydro, 1 wind, 7 solar and 1 biogas projects. Our installed capacity in service is 142.45 MWm / 129.36 MWe.
Our generation is certified under the internationally recognised I-REC, VCS and Gold Standard carbon certification schemes. As Elestaş Elektrik we continue to invest, guided by our vision of leaving clean energy for the future.
