The first unit of the Beylikova Biogas Power Plant, operated by our subsidiary KD Gübre ve Enerji A.Ş., was commissioned on 4 September 2020 following acceptance by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. The unit has an electrical capacity of 1.56 MWe.
How the plant works
Waste from farms and factories is mixed and fed into three heated digester tanks, where it ferments at 36–42 °C and releases biogas. The biogas is cleaned and burned in gas engines to generate electricity, while the remaining material is processed into organic fertiliser.
Supported until 2030
The plant sells its electricity under the Renewable Energy Support Mechanism (YEKDEM), which covers it until the end of 2030.
